Intro to Block Printing/Stamp Carving

Block printing is the earliest form of creating reproducible artworks. It originated in China in the 3rd century and was used to print calendars, art, and various texts.

In this class, students will hand carve their own stamper “block” with a design of their choosing, print it on cards using ink pads, and will be able to take their custom stamp home with them.
